In Chinese. “哪里” (nǎlǐ) means “Where”
If someone gives you a compliment,  you can answer “哪里哪里” (nǎlǐ nǎlǐ), to show your modest. The meaning is close to "It's nice of you to say that, but..."
Here is a Chinese joke picture with “哪里哪里” (nǎlǐ nǎlǐ) .

问 (wèn) means “to ask”
吻 (wěn) means “to kiss”
It’s easy to mix up the two words for beginner students. There is only tone different.
I draw a picture that was a real situation that one of my students experienced. Really funny.

One day, I invited students to have a lunch in my apartment. A student was asking me for a knife in the kitchen:

请给我一刀!Qǐng gěi wǒ yì dāo!

I was laughing out loudly. Because the Chinese meaning of the sentence is ‘Stab me please! ’ He forgot to add Measure Word "bǎ 把". The correct sentence suppose to be:

请给我一把刀!Qǐng gěi wǒ yì dāo !
